Trailer troubles...again

Not sure if we posted about the HUGE issue Steve had with his pontoon trailer last year, but basically the boat literally fell off the trailer while Steve was filling up the motorhome at a gas station. The trailer had broken off. LOOONG story, but we eventually got everything back up and going with a HUGE bit of help from someone named Rodney that happened by. He works as a tow driver for tractor trailers, so he knew every cool trick in the book.

Anyway, this year wouldn't be complete without a similar issue. About 10 miles from Grand Rivers, a wheel literally came *off* the pontoon trailer! It moved down the road nearly half a mile by itself! Thank goodness nobody was hurt in some way. We managed to limp the boat the rest of the way to the lake (doing 20mph on the shoulder) and get it into the water without blowing the other tire on that side, thankfully.

But now we're left with a big issue to resolve before we can get back home.

And to top it off, a hub on our "new to us" camper is bad. The wheel was apparently wobbling pretty badly the last few miles in to the camp ground. Ugh. Will have to get that addressed as well.

So it's been an "interesting" trip already. As usual I suppose. :)

We did have a good time with the new paddle boat Steve bought for our trip. That's going to be a lot of fun.

We also ran up to the bait shop and while there, the guy (who tends to talk us into stuff) talked us into some of his special BBQ sauce. So we had to run to IGA next door to get some chicken breasts and change our plans for supper a bit. Nothing like spur of the moment, "do whatever comes up" plans. :)

OK, everyone's in bed. I suppose I should join them.
