Busy Day Yesterday

Yesterday was a packed day. We got up early and went to the beach. The waves were crazy-which made them fun. The were big enough to knock us all down. Even Zach liked it. I thought for sure he was done with the beach when he got knocked under the water the first time. But he laughed and went back for more. We stayed at the beach-which we pretty much had to ourselves-until everyone was starving. We had lunch, went to a custard stand, saw the Cape Hatteras lighthouse, came back to the campground, went to the pool for a while.
Then we went to the Fisherman's Wharf for dinner. It's a restaurant on the dock and is built on top of a fish processing plant. They claim to have the freshest fish around. The food was good once you got past the smell walking through the parking lot.
Then back to the campground for the jumping pillow, miniature golf for Zach, and a banana bike ride for Ryan.
We are packed up and hitting the road now. We went to the beach this morning and played in the water for an hour or so. The waves didn't seem quite as vicious as yesterday. I think our next stop is the Kitty Hawk memorial. Don't forget to ask Ryan about the sand in his swimming trunks :)
