So Sunday we got up and packed up all our stuff and got ready for the 2 hour drive to the lake. We stopped by the nursing home and saw Mamie (C's grandmother) for a few minutes. Unfortunately she didn't really know who we were the whole time. She asked Ryan what he's been doing this summer about 5 times. He smiled and answered the same question a little louder each time she asked.
We drove to the lake and unpacked everything. Then we got a nasty surprise. The electric plug for the van started acting flaky. We were without air in the van Sunday night until Tom could get a new connector on Monday. Luckily it wasn't too hot until about 5 am which was when the men folk were getting up to go fishing anyway :) We had Patti's for dinner Sunday since it was Father's Day. The pork chop, ribeye and aloha chicken were awesome.
Monday we had breakfast at Mr BBQ, fished alot and tried to not get heat stroke. Zach was a fishing machine today and caught a ton of blue gill. Tom finally put his pole down to help him since he was pulling in a fish everytime he put the bait into the water. We went out again on the boat right before dark. Bass, catfish and blue gill were biting. Ryan is determined to get a catfish. So far no luck. Hopefully tomorrow morning will bring some good luck for him. We probably have enough fish to fry but I'm sure Zach will add to the pile of fish tomorrow.
